Now you might be wondering what some of us here of the snowrev crew when there is no snow during the September and October. While waiting for the white stuff that we all love so much we try to keep sane by cruising around, skating, and partying wherever our friends that we travel throughout the winter are at. After a long 3 months up at Mt Hood I took a trip to Southern California to ASR to feast my eyes on all the new videos that I will see a countless amount of times this season. I have never been a big fan of SoCal (mostly because I hate traffic) but this trip changed my whole perception why it is so many people live down here. From hanging out in San Diego, The Hollywood Hills, Santa Monica, Big Bear, Carlsbad, Downtown LA and every spot in between here is a little blog of my past month that has been a little crazy but the best trip to SoCal I've ever had. There even was a little bit of snowboarding going down for Hot Dogs and Handrails. After a quick flight from Portland Oregon I made it to San Diego for the ASR tradeshow. Which is pretty much a big party with a lot of bro-ing down and all the new seasons snowboard videos being shown. The first night was the Rome's "No Correct Way" and the Bluebird movie "Love over money" with plenty of people raging as the Rome guys always do. The next day after sleeping in the car I headed to in to the tradeshow a went strait to the Volcom booth where I found Dirty Joel already slamming Jack Daniels and plenty of others already stumbling around, so I stayed there and joined them most of my day. That night was maybe the most anticipated movie of the year, Travis Rice's movie, "That's It That's All" was full of next level snowboarding and filming. With free red bull drinks all night to make it even better. Final day of the show is usually pretty boring day, so after a long day of skating the streets of San Diego Grenade's "The Boned Age" premier was held at the Hard Rock. With the most rowdy crew in all of snowboarding people got wasted and ended up in the pool. Making Grenade not welcome back at another venue once again. With the tradeshow coming to a close a bunch of friends and I headed to Mission Beach to meet party out there for a little bit with some more skating and a lot more brews, big surprise.
