Fresh of a week of hot slushy snowboarding, covering the Burton ASJ Quaterpipe, Halfpipe and Slopestyle we decided to take a longer but more scenic and relaxing route back to Mammoth via the Coast Highway through Oregon into Cali. The crew consisted of me, Lonnie Kauk and Johnny Centi all crammed into my Toyota tundra starting our trip from Govy Camp, OR to our destination Mammoth, CA. We left Hood pretty late and drove the evening to Lincoln City motel 6 for the night. The next morning started a nice coastal blue bird, breezy day drive, windows down cruising along the Oregon coast. Making a few stops to eat and piss we found a nice beach straight out of Jurrasic Park to watch the sun set and hang out on until dark.

This started the all nighter drive through Humboldt county, the Redwood Forrest and on into sunrise in Salsoleto and straight into the socked in and drizzling city of San Fransisco for some early 6am street bombing and cruising around pier 7 and old hubba hideout. From there we headed over th bay bridge I passed out and woke in Sonora for some more rest and food and Lonnie's Brothers house topping it all of with a super fun evening skate session at the Sonora skate park.

From the park we started over the infamous Sonora Pass to watch an amazing sunset at the top of the pass and headed on into Mono County to spend the night out under the stars on the front Mono Lake.
Stay tuned for Part two Climbing in Yosemite with Lonnie and the crew.
