Continued from part 1.... We all had a good night sleep under the stars in Lee Vining, drove into Mammoth for some food relaxed for a bit and then headed off with Lonnie to Yosemite for some climbing. Drove up the pass for a little bit up to Tuolumne, parked and followed our guide straight through the woods no trail and ended up at a route that Lonnie's Dad had put up I believe late 80's early 90's and since then only has seen maybe more than a handful of accents. Today Lonnie was going to tackle it and see if he could make the whole thing. This thing is pretty gnarley.... we watched Lonnie try a few couple times getting closer and closer but could quite make it up this trip... since then he finished it but it always is an experience to watch him climb and hang out with everybody from Shredding at Hood, Sleeping at Windells, skateing and driving down all the way home to Mammoth. It was a great trip and I suggest if you have never been to Hood in the summer or driven down the coast do it!
