The good folks at Volcom give back to the little people and up and coming rippers by throwing the Peanut Butter and Rail Jam at various locations around the USA throughout the winter season. The PBRJ rolled through So Cal this weekend with a stop under the lights at Mt High. The PBRJ series gives riders around the USA to get their chance at stardom. You see pretty much anyone can enter and the top 5 from each group gets a pass to the PBRJ finals in mammoth in April. It is fun to see the kids going for gold and the snowboard moms and dads supporting them. Two hundred thirty one kids came out to vie for the 20 spots given away for the finals in Mammoth. The cold winds blew as the riders attacked the course which consisted of three zones. A down-flat-down bar, a long ass butter ledge thing and down bar were the three zones. Riders had to hit all three zones to score high. Some of the kids in the event still have a but of practicing to do but pretty much the top three of every event all have the potential to step it up in the snowboard world. At the very worst, everyone had fun and got free PBRJ sandwiches
