Tales From The Trips: Colorado
Why hello there again boys and ghouls. The tomb has been reopened and the cryptkeeper is on te road again to give all of all you another feature on snowrev with some exclusive stories from wherever the hell I might be cruising. This one starts out leaving Reno from Mammoth and heading out to Colorado for some shredding, contests, good times, and a whole lot of partying. As made my way into Denver International my buddy Mike Farnum sad there was snow in Boulder so that was the first stop to try and get some shots with him and Mike Casanova. We ended up at a down rail with a drop, and a bum chilling drinking tall cans.
Then it was time to head to the mountains for the first stop of the Grand Prix at Copper. Where I got the first taste of the year of how far snowboarding has come in the past year with everyone going insane in the pipe with all the new tricks. Check out http://www.snowrev.com/News/All/2009-Copper-Mountain-Grand-Prix-Finals for more photos from George Crosland. Then there were a few late nights and handles gone staying at the FRENDS house in Copper. Along wth a stop at Woodward At Copper for some skating with Volcom's Alex Lopez and Luke Mitrani.
With Dew Tour coming up the next destination was Breckenridge. With all the talent in town for the event you could say shit was going down on and off the hill. For not having a ton of snow Breck's park was a real good time. Then Danny Davis won the pipe. No big shocker on that one. Followed up the next day with an insane slopestyle contest. For some reason though since football is more prime time telvision they started the finals at 2:00. Which is good for the people that stayed out at the bars all night, but when the riders are doing 1080's and doublecorks with no light. That's pretty fucked. However Tyler Flannigan threw down that fire and won that. That's what lapping main park in Mammoth all day wll do to you, I guess. Hell yeah Tyler.
More Tales From The Trips coming in the very near future so keep checking for more Tales. Check these links on snowrev for more from these events.

- Somehow my flight got out of Reno on time. My bag did not though

- Farnum getting the jump, and himself, ready to hit the rail

- It's not really booze in there. There's no way I would ever let this happen. The only bottles we could find for water were handles of liquor

- Mike Farnum fully comitted on a front board right in the sweet spot

- Mke Casanova stares down to the end on a nosepress frontside 180

- This bum was there when we showed. Just pounding some tall cans watched the action. He was pretty cool

- In case you didn't know, Greenman's a pothead

- These are probably the same dorks you might see in the park with the long rollerblades during the summer. I hope they ski into a bunch of dogshit

- Greg Bretz is sick. There lots more style the rest of the way down too

- Some of the olympic hopefulls are also some of the classiest, as seen here. Greg is great

- Todd Richards "Toddcasting" with Louie's dad

- Getting ready for a big night ahead at the FRENDS house

- Robbie has to have some long days up there filming, so he takes his training very serously

- Jack Mitrani made this one with some bite

- It's pretty easy to tell Scotty is no stranger to shooting deer.

- Woodward At Copper is probably the most insane training facility ever made

- Luke Mitrani back lips one of the ramps at Woodward

- Goldy giving the dryslope and the foam pit a go

- Making it up to Breck

- Cryptkeeper and Chris Waker, in case you haven't noticed there are snowrev facemasks now, made by Kinger

- If you remember the World Quarterpipe Championships you remember Chris Waker. Here he is at Breck, but he's not shredding completely wasted today

- Keith Benett from Vermont has been killing it all over the west the past few years. Back seven on the bottom jump at Breck

- Breck's own Dylan Alito on his way on getting around on a frontside seven stale

- Dew Tour pipe ready for Danny Davis to slay

- Pashley and new and Burton's new addition Zak Hale from Big Bear

- Eric Willett might be my new favorite person to watch ride a slopestyle event

- Evan getting all the action

- Never one to sacrifice any style. Lago pokes the shit out of a backside seven

- Mikkel Bang has got some power on a snowboard. Here making a switch back 12 look like no big deal. His run was my favorite

- Squid either pumped on Scotty and Mikkel's runs. Or that behind him there are a bunch of hot Norweagan babes

- Might as well stop on the deck for a drink. Danny enjoying the win from the day before

- Louie has got no problem with the jailbait at these events

- Tyler and Danny right before Tyler threw down the winner

- Tyler, Sage, and Eric are gnarly

- Will Lavinge made a new friend

- Aaron Dodds not fucking around

- Things got a little crazy after the bars. Everyone flipping over this SUV might have been the biggest highlight of the entire dew tour
