Mammoth might have already opened up, a couple times already. This past weekend was the big one. The original date that had kickoff/kickass parties, Mammoth's "Hot Laps" movie showing for the first time planned out. Some band at Canyon I was pleased to miss, but so far the were the best conditions on the mountain, yet. Then amazing art show from Jeff Anderson's friends, showcasing one of the greatest snowboarders ever, best photographers and awesome aritsts. Topped off with more amazing times, where like most of the opening weekend parties in Mammoth end up. The bars of course, followed up by terrible hangovers. However this opening weekend made something a little more special than most, because if you were here you would have seen the presence of the love for Jeffy all over in Mammoth Lakes this weekend.
