Oh yea, Saturday Night in the Village at Mammoth with one of the sickest rail jams. You gotta love it. It was May and instead of giving up on winter Mammoth threw a gigante snowboard fiesta. Some of the sickest riders who can not get enough of winter showed up. Along with hip hop groups from Portland to L.A. featuring MyG with special guest Abstract Rude and Aceyalone, as well as performances by North Coast Underground, Hungry Mob and Sandpeople. I don’t know who those bands are because I prefer Metal! However, as a reporter I felt it necessary to mention that there were hip hop bands with drunk and sober people having fun. Riders, lurkers, money grabbing whores, cool chicks, assholes and bros – a good vibe all around, ha. The set up was a triple line built on 3 stories of scaffolding – “the likes of which riders Yale Couisno, Travis Kennedy and Mike Casanova have never seen beforeâ€. All new stadium seating provide improved visibility as spectators watched action on features including a down box with ledges, a 35-foot single 2-inch-round down rail and a 37-foot down-flat-down single rail. After negotiating that line of features they proceeded to an 8-foot tall, 24-foot wide wall ride. So the action was pretty sick. The three trick line meant everyone had to be on top of their game. There did not seem to be too much flow to the course but it was a good time for all, especially the crowd. The tricks were not as tech as other jams due the combination of rails. Finesse, power and consistency took the win. Chaz was looking like a winner but Jonas Michilot was declared the victor in the end. Scot Vine and Yale Cuisno looked good. Oh, and by the way, the riding at Mammoth was insane on Saturday. Cold temps, and new snow meant conditions were great. If you were not there, you missed it. Todd Richards (co-announcer) quotes “I am starting a healthy hot dog chain called Ji-Hot Dog Would you say it is more about the fashion than the riding? You have not said anything about sustainability of the earth K-Fed is here Chaz Guldemond get the balls out award cuz he was throwing it out there. He kinda looked like the winner but the riders themselves were the judges and who do you think knows more, me or the riders
Scott Vine

Yale Couisno

Hip Hop Hessian Chris Bradshaw
Travis Kennedy with a 540 on the sketchy QP

Scott Vine was shredding hard - Andrecht on the QP
Chris Rotax and Yale Couisno judging themselves

Snowboard Revolution was in the house
Tyler Flannigan and Zach Leach waiting for the results. Tyler has a little blood on his nose, he was going at it
Jonas Michilot was pretty much kicking out the most tech lines so really, he deserved the win and the $10,000 or 380,000 pesos
