Michelle presents to you the MC Kink BTX Photos by George Crosland
You are an all around snowboarder and will ride anything; park, rails, early season snowmaking ice on one run, spring snow and of course pow, you ride all mountain or do laps in the park, whatever as long as it is snowboarding. So you are going on a big trip what do you take? Your 160 cm powder board which is not too rad in the park, your 152 park board which sucks in the pow and all mountain or something in between which is not so great but works in either park or pow? If you are uber gnarly you can ride anything, anywhere but most of us need all the help we can get on our one vacation a year. The Lib Tech MC Kink may just solve all your problems and let you load a smaller board (153 or 155cm) into your bag so you can lap the park all day with a cigarette in your mouth but when it snows you can rip the pow too! How the heck is that possible? Well the MC of the Lib Tech MC Kink stands for Matt Cummins and Matt has the longest continuously available pro model snowboard on the market. Matt has a skate oriented background and living in the NW means you have to ride everything from rain soaked slopes to the best powder you could ever hope for. Matts pro model board has some unique and not so unique elements that make it the perfect go-to board for your trip or life. Banana Technology – Nothing new here, the rocker design not only wrecks the park but floats in the pow so you can go shorter board wise and still keep up with Travis Rice in the pow off Cody Peak in Jackson. The MC Kink though is a little stiffer than that standard banana so it allows you to get into the billy goat situations with confidence Magne Traction – works in pow, works in ice, again allows for a shorter board but helps give the edge control of a longer board Kink Style Nose – basically the board to “kinks†up to regular tip height in a shorter distance which in turns allows the board to be shorter (and lighter) yet maximizes useable edge length and maximizes float. This is a throwback design to the 80s or 90s but still useful today Add to the above a fast base, hand built by snowboarder construction, morning wood core, power transfer internal sidewalls (ads more strength, pop and control), art by Mike Parillo and the fact that any one of the Cummins family will dust you in the trees at Alpental and you have a sick board Now you can pack up that 153 or 155 cm that is not a compromise for park or pow. No more spending 100s or 1,000s on a vacation and hoping it only snows for 5 days cuz you only got a 160 or that it never snows (god forbid) cuz you brought a 152. I got a 155 because I am fat, if you are not fat get a 153cm. Now you can go both ways and like it!
We got a little spokes model action to help display the board and make you forget about the recession

Get Kinky!
Get Experimental!
No offense to the female rippers out there but in 153 and 155 length, the MC Kink BTX is meant for the guys, although feel free to rip it if you feel inclined
2009 has been like the year of bad news; “sales are down 30%â€. “this company might go out of businessâ€, “this retailer might go out of businessâ€, “such and such contest is cancelled†You know what, f-it, snowboarding is fun, it’s summer, we are bringing the fun back into it with the help of Michelle

If you made it this far down then you must really be digging the MC Kink, here is the kink part of it. Again, it let’s them make the board a little shorter yet provide more workable edge and get the tip and tail up out of the snow. Enjoy the rest of the summer and f the recession go camp and snowboard somewhere http://www.lib-tech.com/snowboards/mc.html
