Five Riders Advance into the Superpipe and Slopestyle Main Event
Park City, Utah - Riding with your friends is always a good time. Riding with your friends under blue skies, in a long sleeve-tee while a super cool DJ is spinning sick tunes is even better. Yup, that's what it is like here today at Park City for the Roxy Chicken Jam, pretty fun.
The Slopestyle and Superpipe open-entry qualifiers took place today in perfect spring conditions. Advancing from the 30 spots of the open-entry Slopestyle qualifying round this morning were: in first place Conny Bleicher (GER), second Dina Treland (USA), third Ursina Haller (SUI), fourth Elin Holvik (NOR) and in fifth Femke Henriques (USA).
This afternoon 17 Superpipe riders vied for one of five spots into the main event. Usrina Haller (SUI) took first, Eliza Greene (USA) took second, Kendall Brown (USA) took third, Andrea Schuler (SUI) took fourth and Paula Mitchell (NZ) took fifth and advanced into the Superpipe main event which will be held tomorrow.
Usrina Haller was the only girl who advanced out of the qualifier in both the Slopestyle open-entry and the Superpipe open-entry. We'll see tomorrow how she stacks up next to the pros!
Tomorrow the Superpipe main event commences at 10:00 am and the awards ceremony will be held at 4:30 pm at the Roxy Chicken Jam festival area.
