Mammoth has officially been infected with groms and all the others that make their way out for the last part of the year. This past weekend Volcom’s Peanut Butter and Rail Jam Finals came to the bottom of main park. Riders from all over the country that qualified throughout the season got the chance to ride Mammoth’s amazing springtime conditions. The weather was your typical April day in California with the sun beating down all day to make the snow nice and mushy. The park staff put together a solid set-up and even had a magic carpet on the side so the riders could get plenty of laps in the jam format. The level of riding was pretty heated on all three features then you had to dodge other riders for the tank stall at the bottom. Matty Mo was up there all day killing it not only being the DJ for the contest but riding really good in his heats. Shawn Murphy made his way out from the east coast to get techy on everything. Some other riders that were impressive all day were Cornell Agee, Blaze Kotsenburg, Forrest Bailey, and the list keeps on going. The judges decided on Mammoth’s Tyler Flannigan taking third. Dylan Alito grabbed second and Johnny Lazz came down from Tahoe to claim the title he won last year and walked away with his pockets fatter. Making it a Volcom sweep on the podium in the Open Division. Thanks to everyone at Volcom, Oren Tanzer and the Mammoth Park staff for another year of the Peanut Butter Rail Jam Finals here in Mammoth..

The final set up was three side by side rails; a pole jam to down box, a down-flat-down bar and a flat-gap-down lift tower thing. At the bottom was a little qp to poma horse thing

It can be hard to get the names of all the athletes in am events, especially since many of them were referred to by simply their bib numbers. This guy was named Tremby, maybe?

Shaun Murphy got 2nd place in the open division of the Peanut Butter and Rail Jam. The best of 17 nationwide contests went to Mammoth. Shaun got 2nd so he beat a lot of sick riders
