Louie Vito is on the come up for sure. At the Vans Cup in Tahoe he got second place in pipe and top 20 in Slopestyle. He beat the likes of Danny Kass, Keir Dillon, and way more in the process. At the World Superpipe championships in Park City, he got 6th, fifth at the 06’ X Games…you get the idea, this kid is blowin up. With 3 10’s and 2 9’s in a contest run at only 17 (just turned 18 this week), it will be sick to see what this kid produces in the future.

You are what 17 years old and from Bellefontaine Ohio. How did you get so damn good out there in Ohio? Was there a park and/or pipe?
Well there is a small hill outside my house call mad river mountain. I started off skiing and then one day I was with my dad and told him I thought snowboarding looked cool and we tried it and we were hooked. there wasn’t a park really, just stuff people made so we did a lot of traveling as he saw I liked it more and more.
On Transworld's website a kid from Stratton is predicting you to win The US Open Pipe contest. Whether you win or not, it seems it would be an honor that someone would suggest you are going to beat the likes of Shaun White, Danny Kass, etc. How do you feel about getting all blown up?
I didn’t know that. That is sick. I think it is pretty cool because I have been dreaming of this day ever since I started snowboarding.
How was getting 2nd in pipe and doing really well in slope up at the Vans Tahoe Cup?
It was really cool; it was my first like MAJOR contest podium. I won Australian open but there was not near the coverage or riding as the Vans Cup
What are you going to do with the prize money?
I am saving up for a down payment on a house.
Do you still live in Ohio? If no where?
My parents still live in Ohio, I go to Stratton Mountain School in Vermont but during the winter I am all over.
Did you finish School?
Haha I am working on doing that right now. I am a senior.
What do your parents think of the snowboard career that is upon you?
They back my 100 percent. They have helped a lot to gettin my to where I am today. Driving through the night all over to let me ride better terrain and allowing me to go to SMS. They just want to make sure I realize how lucky I am.
If not snowboarding, what would you be doing?
I would probably be playing a lot more soccer and more involved in school.
Where is favorite shred spot(s)?
I am really into Utah right now. Mammoth is fun too.

Danny Kass, Andreas Wiig, Marc Frank, there are so many it is hard to just name a few.

Plans for the future?
Just keep riding, do some contests and start to film a lot more.
How was the US Open experience?
US Open is such a big contest and has been around for so long. It is always a fun event and you get to see some of the best riding.

So what happen when a scanner (Antti) feeds a minor liquor? Who the hell cares? If you are old enough to go fight Al Qeada, you should be able to drink
