What do you like to do beside snowboard?
I am a pretty big sportsman. I like to hunt, fish, and ride my dirt bike. I really like to chill with my friends.

What would is one thing you would like to tell kids with their sites on pro snowboarding?
Just keep your spirits high, and don’t get bummed on down days and stay focused and ride everyday you can.
What are your top three snowboard video parts of all time?
- Eero Ettala- Mack Dawg 2005
- Nicolas Mueller- Futureproof
- Peter Line- The Resistance
What is your favorite obstacle to ride? A freshly cut pipe, and I love to ride powder.
What are your plans for this season?
I plan on competing in all of the Grand Prix events and hopefully qualify for the Olympics, The X Games, Vans Cup, Vail Sessions and the Us Open; I have attended the US Open since 1996. I also plan on filming with Kyle Clancy this winter. Kyle is making his own video and I am always stoked to ride with him, he is my favorite rider.
What is your favorite snowboard trick? I love to do backside five forties.
When did you turn pro and did it happen when you moved to the mountains?
I turned pro about two years ago and I was based at home with my parents but I traveled a lot. This is my first year away from home and I am living with Mason Aguirre in Mammoth.

Who is your favorite person to shoot photos with?
Ryan Hughes a.k.a. Huggy Bear I started working with him when he became the senior photographer for Flow. I would like to shoot more with Tim Zimmerman; he was the first photographer I was ever published with. It was the Sports Illustrated for kids.
How did you feel when you found out you had the cover of Transworld Snowboarding?
I was so surprised, I was down in Chile and I remember Mutty told me and I was so stoked, it’s funny that same trip I got arrested for getting into a fight at the bar. They gave me free stitches and couldn’t charge me due to the English Spanish language barrier. So that was sweet too.
What is your view on contests?
I like to do contests, I really like jam format contests because I get really nervous when I only have one run. I will be training a lot this year because of the Olympics but in the past I just let it flow. I usually plan my runs after I see the course, and usually change it up the day of the contest if practice doesn’t go to well. Sometimes if I don’t do well in a contest I get discouraged and it makes me hate contests. Then I have a good day riding with my friends and it brings my spirits back up. I just buckle sometimes because of my nerves.
Did you have a crew of kids you rode with when you were growing up?
Yeah I rode with Scott Millette, The Quint, Eric Laravere, Tom Flocco and now I ride a lot with Mason Aguirre, Risto Mattila, Anti Autti and Mikka Hast.
What are your goals for this season?
I want to have a killer video, make some money in contests, and hopefully make the Olympics.
What was your favorite Session to date?
One day at June Mountain, no one was there but me and Mason. He landed all four nines and I got three nines.

Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my parents for all of their support, the lord for my talents, and my grandfather for all of his wisdom.
What are you looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to learning new rails tricks; I really wish that I could learn to do a switch nose press down a street rail. I am also looking forward to getting better at cab spins, I always spin early off the jump, and I want to change that.
