TALES FROM THE TRIPS | Bear Mtn Day: 1
Words, Photos: Andrew Miller
The Bear Mountain Wide Open goes down around the same time in Feb/March every year. During this time Bear makes the extra effort to prime up their parks for the week long open shooting and filming, contests and non stop shredding. Myself, Mac Spedale and Nick Russell had a hard time taking our selves away from all the snow thats was falling in Utah to make the 9hr drive to So Cal. First and foremost for me was to cover the first ever etnies snow Goofy vs. Regular and hang out for a extra couple of days to shred and shoot. After about every type of weather went through bear during weekend of GvR thankfully Monday cleared up and it was our first day of shredding on the all mountain park at Bear. After such a heavy list at GvR tons of heads from all over where just taking laps through the main park messing around and having fun all day. As for our crew we make sure everybody was safe... ly riding through the park taking some hot laps bonking, sliding, tweaking, spining, fliping and slashing all day. I have never really taken my elf out to shoot action before but today I was stoked to ride with out my usual huge heavy pack and just cruise around snapping photos when I pleased while still getting a chance to hit everything. Short and sweet of day of was fun, sun, friends and tweaks. Check out the photo story of the day below.
