TALES FROM THE TRIPS: Boreal

That morning we woke up after a night in Reno at 7:00 in the morning to grab some quick breakfast for an exciting drive up to Boreal, especially since most of us had never been there. So for the morning we cruised around and checked out some of the mountain, especially all of the parks that are made by Eric Rosenwald, who in the past made June's legendary halfpipe and park. On the one side of the mountain there is an insane boardercross course with step-up jumps on the side, tree rides, stalls and a whole other park with a lift right to the top. Then on other areas of the mountain there a a bunch of other parks and cool features spread out for abilities of all types. Another one of the amazing things about Boreal is that they are one of the few places that you can go night riding at with conditions that are still really good with some amazing sunsets, check some of the photos and you'll see. Thanks to Jon Slaughter for hooking us up with some tickets and showing us a really fun time. Make sure to check out Boreal sometime when you get a chance and you will not be disappointed with some really good and unique parks, fun freeriding and a resort that is also trying to go green running on 100% Green Power. So after a very long day we headed back down to Reno for refuel our bodies with some in-n-out and spliffs and up to South Lake for the a one hell of a night. I had heard that Valient Thorr, a sick band from Volcom entertainment was going to be playing a show at some small bar so we got equipped with some Jager and got tuned up before the show and got to see the Misfritz, a sick misfits cover band from reno open up bad ass band. Followed of course by Valient Thorr, a band that will always put on a good show and rock out really hard.
