Two Days of Jackson
Day 1| Corbits

Billy Bacon

There are a few good people I want to thank first off here.  I want to thank Travis Rice and the Quiksilver Crew for putting this event together.  Thanks to Billy Bacon, Johnny Recchio, The entire Igneous Crew, Rich Goodwin, Demian McConnnell and Cisco for sticking with our group, putting us under a great roof and guiding us around the Mountain.

Now to it.  Jackson Hole is a resort that is not for the weak at heart, or the weak at physical condition.  Jackson Hole is the resort for the men and women that are prepared to get in situations that require skill, confidence and power.  If you snowboard, you have to ride this place at least once, its pretty much all Time.  Truly all time.

The Jackson Hole resort season is short so plan accordingly.  You will also want to hit it when its good, so keep your eyes on the weather channel and make your move at the very last minute.  That’s how snowboarders travel.

While there you will want to find some local rippers to guide you around. Be very careful whom you choose because there are some very trustful locals that put themselves on top of some crazy situations.  A lot of the riders there are rippperrss, and will tear apart the most insane terrain imaginable.  If you are not ready, just stick to the trail map.  If you are ready get on board and go get your self some serious adrenaline rushes, endless steep pow fields, pillow lines, and whatever else you can imagine.

If you need gear be sure to hit up Ill23 Snowboard Shop to get your brand new gear.  If you are looking for something custom built hit up the Igneous Crew, they have a snowboard manufacturing plant in Jackson and are rippers that test their gear daily.

For some reading material while you’re their check out the Jackson Hole Snowboarder Magazine.  This magazine gives you the riders view and insiders look at Jackson.

When you hit Jackson make sure you bring your transceivers, probes, shovels, some knowledge about to use them, and your confidence because this place is no joke.  It is snowboarding on big mountains.

My words don’t do Jackson justice.  You have to experience this place first hand.

Jackson Hole Mountain Characteristics: Jackson Hole Resort is comprised of two mountains Apres Vous and Rendezvous.  In total there is 2,500 acres of in-bounds terrain.  The base elevation is 6,311 feet and the summit sits way up at 10,450 feet.  A top to bottom run on Jackson will last you a solid 4,139 feet of amazing terrain.  If that is not enough for you there is open backcountry (gate system) access for over 3,000 + acres.  That is enough shredding to last you forever not riding the same line twice.  Take that and combine it with over 459 inches of average snowfall a year and you have your own never never land.  The resort only remains open from December 1st through April 6th.

Day 2| Four Pines

Jackson Hole has over
3000+ acres of open gate system backcountry access.  Our tour guides decided that we should definitely check out a backcountry area named Four Pines. This zone was unreal. Steep trees, pillow cliffs and neck deep powder awaited us outside the gates.
