07/08 Burton AM Tour: Val Senales Results
Laura Berry and Stefan Ackeret – proud owners of a new Suzuki Quad Bike
Val Senales, Italy - On Saturday the final snowboard contest of this year’s Burton AM Tour took place in Val Senales. 63 juniors from 6 European countries didn’t want to miss the happening and kept the tension till the end.
This weekend Val Senales was the host for the last stop of the Burton AM Tour 07/08, a pan-European Snowboard competition series for youngbloods. The conditions for the contest on Saturday didn’t leave any wishes: In the most beautiful spring weather 63 young and motivated snowboarders met up for the showdown in the perfectly prepared Gentlemen Park. Not only the battle for the actual win of the day was exciting, but also the decision of the overall tour winners in the four categories.
In the tight competition of the Junior Boys, the 16-year old Giorgio Ciancaleoni from Varese could prevail with a solid performance. But as the winner of the entire tour, the Swiss Stefan Ackeret (18) took home a quad bike of main sponsor Suzuki. Also the first place of Tiziana Casutt (15) on Saturday was not enough to turn the tide and so Laura Berry (19) became the proud owner of the second four wheeled motor bike.
Another Swiss stood out among the Kid Boys. The 13-year old Jan Scherrer convinced judges and crowd with his outstanding style and clean tricks and won his category. Evident winner in the Kid Girls category was the Swiss Enya Beutler (15), who also attained the title ‘AM Tour Overall Winner 07/08’ in her category.
On Sunday the Burton AM Tour 07/08 ended with a fotoshooting with three considerable photographers and three Burton pro riders.

The third edition of the Burton AM Tour consists of 19 events in 15 different European countries. Kids between 8 and 20 years can compete for great material prizes and guaranteed starting slots at the Burton European Open - Europes biggest snowboard competition. On top the Main Sponsor Suzuki provides two Quad Bikes for both Junior Tour Champions. The Burton AM Tour is part of the TTR (Ticket to Ride) World Snowboard Tour.
