2008 Park City Chevy Revolution Tour: Halfpipe Results
Park City, Utah - Local rider Nick Fuca (Park City, UT) and newcomer Kelly Marren (Hillsborough, CA) took top honors in the halfpipe competition in the Chevy Revolution Tour at Park City Mountain Resort Saturday.
Fuca headed the men's podium followed by Zachary Black (Dillon, CO) and Brennen Swanson (Stillwater, MN).
Ellen Feldman (Avon, CO), who won the previous two Revolution Tour women's halfpipe competitions, came in second. Allyson Carroll (Truckee, CA) was third.
"It was the sunniest day we've had on the whole tour so it was awesome to have great weather. There was great riding and it was really exciting to see some new faces on the podium," said U.S. Snowboarding Program Manager Abbi Nyberg. "Nick is a local so it was awesome that he won and Kelly Marren really stepped up today. It was an amazing day and we're just getting ready for slopestyle tomorrow."
The tour continues Sunday at Park City Mountain Resort with a slopestyle competition before heading to Mt. Hood for competitions Feb. 22-24.
