The Grenade Games went down in June Lake this past weekend to celebrate green. Today we give you a brief re-cap of Saturday’s events which was pretty much slopestyle day. Basically Grenade rented out June Mountain for a party. Pretty much no rule was the rule. The price of admission was $30 for one day or $50 for two. Keep in mind the price of admission included all the riding you can handle for 7 hours and free entry into any event of your choice. A private party at June Lake with some of the world’s best snowboarders and other like minded individuals – I am in! Lot’s of beer, lots of trips to the woods for 420 action, lots of action on the hill, lots of fun, and lots of drinking in the bars.
The slopestyle course was basically the same course that June had set up towards the end of the season with some bigger jumps thrown in. There was supposed to be a slopestyle contest but I don’t think that ever went down. The Chinese eyed downhill was insane. Pretty much every had fun except those that got arrested on the way in. Thanks for the ultimate snowboard party Grenade.

- At breakfast in June Lake on Saturday 4/19 the locals were taking bets as to how many people would get busted on their way into town. Well, who knows how many but the cops sure hassled a lot of people. It was pretty much bullshit. There was not one fight or one serious injury. Guess cops have to feel like they did something – save the town from the hooligans – crap. Other than that the Grenade Games were all about fun
- I can tell you that this is the most excitement that has gone on in June this year.
- Three cops to one.... You would of thought this guy killed somebody or something. No just some kids going to snowboard.
- Kids hanging while their ride gets the shakedown.
- Right as we parked we looked back to sirens while two CHP grabbed this guy right be for the entrance.... fuckers
- Welcome to June Mountain a sign said “we own it today” and everyday. Referring to the fact that Grenade rented/took over the whole resort
- I love these type of events because things don't really get started before noon. Here everybody hanging out before taking good ol J1 up.

- Being the 420 Grenade Games you know their had to be a lot of good food and munchies. Burgers, Kabobs and Drinks for all.
- Amy from Billabong. In 1990 I drove up to Mammoth with Brian Botts. Brian ended up moving to Salt Lake, riding Snowbird, working at a candy apple stand, getting a cover on Blunt, managing the snow team at DC and now works at real estate in Park City. Amy married Brian, moved out to San Marcos and lived with Brian, her twin sister and Chris Engelsman. Then divorced Brian and now she is at the Grenade Games hanging out with Kevin Casillo. Do you care, probably not. Kevin Casillo and Dave Schiff seemed to be running the show this weekend.

- Pretty much you can thank this man for the Grenade Games and a lot of other things. Danny Kass started Grenade, built it from scratch and continues to be a key figure in the company. This picture – just some random trick, shows why he rule so bad, the little tweak and style is what separates the pros from the huckers

- This was freaking funny. Johnny Centi was follow caming Nick Russell when a MASSIVE gust of wind almost blew them over backwards. Seriously, check out Nick’s hat and goggles flying off his head. It was funny cause they both rode away safe, super sketchy.. You will have to check out the video to see this one
