2009 U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour - Mt. Hood Results
Mt. Hood, OR - Up-and-coming riders from across the globe descended upon Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon this weekend as the third U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour took place featuring snowboardcross, halfpipe and slopestyle.
"Mt. Hood Meadows put on a great Revolution Tour event this weekend! The venues were once again outstanding and we saw some great riding from all of the athletes," U.S. Snowboarding Program Manager Abbi Nyberg said. "It is good to see so many up and coming riders and some new faces on the podium."
The Revolution Tour serves as a pipeline for young athletes looking to make their way to the national team level.
Three days of riding kicked off with snowboardcross where Robert Minghini (South Lake Tahoe, CA) and Chloe Banning (Steamboat Springs, CO) took the wins.
Cleve Johnson (Basalt, CO) and Alex Tuttle (Stratton, ME) took second and third for the men, and Juliette Bisson (Carrabassett Valley, ME) and Carrie Uren (Randle, WA) were second and third for the women.
Day two featured halfpipe in which Max Gold (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Jessi Huege (Dundee, IL) won. Molly Wilson (Basalt, CO) and Serena Shaw (Bantam, CT) took second and third in the women's pipe and Cody Weselis (Park City, UT) and Max Warbington (Bend, OR) were second and third for men's.
The Rev Tour wrapped up with slopestyle, in which Caden Michnal (Midway, UT) won for the men and Victoria Guinn (Placerville, CA) won the women's pipe.
Joining Michnal on the men's podium were JD Dennis (Bend, OR) in second and Paul Brichta (Burnsville, MN) in third. Wilson, who was second in halfpipe, was also second for the women and Desi Diselrod (Wasilla, AK) was third.
The U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour next makes its way to Sugarloaf, ME, for the final stop of the series March 9-11.
