Bear Mountain to host the 10-day event February 23 Thru March 4
Big Bear Lake, Ca – The Wide Open #4 – a 10-day event extravaganza – returns to Bear Mountain Resort February 23 through March 4, 2007. The Wide Open is Bear Mountain’s premier event complete with contests, photo/film shoots, giveaways, live music, after-parties and plenty of surprises. Snowboarders, skiers, media and industry folk are invited to visit the resort and see why Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) is a leader in freestyle snowboarding and skiing.
“The Wide Open showcases The Park when it’s at its best,” said Clayton Shoemaker of Bear Mountain’s park staff. “The Park gets an entire makeover, so guests can enjoy a world-class terrain park offering new setups, new terrain features, a variety of junkyard jibs, built-up jumps, Southern California’s only superpipe and more,” added Shoemaker.
The Wide Open is simply an open invitation to the snowboard and freeski industry to visit Bear Mountain and experience one of the most fun and progressive terrain parks in the world. Plus with daily activities and contests, The Wide Open is an exciting event for all snow-sports enthusiasts. This year’s expected pro snowboarders and skiers include: Lauri Heiskari, Joe Sexton, Darrell Mathes, Chris Bradshaw, Nima Jalali, Corey Smith, Tim Eddy, Craig Coker, Johnny Miller, Mike Burton, Clayton Shoemaker and others.
