Autumn Line, this year releases its third effort “Technicolour”. This year’s film offers a line up of mostly am riders with a few bigger names tossed in the mix such as Gabe Taylor and Matt Hammer and follows a serious stylistic agenda that suits the title of the project. Editing, color, and the construction of the video itself is where Autumn Line hits it best this year. All of this contributes to a unique image for the film that wasn’t as heavily prevalent in their past projects.
The riding is heavy on street, park and backcountry jumps. Ben Bilocq opens with more or less a full rail part, while Cody Rosenthal follows up with smooth style on features at Mammoth Park and surrounding areas (check out snowrev’s day in the life with Cody for more, he rips!). Peter Benchetler may have the best overall part in the video, with good footage from the backcountry and some solid jumping at sessions like Superpark.
The main aspect missing from this year's video though is a true standout part. Previous Autumn Line projects had it with Jonas Michilot in “Never Felt Better” and Gabe Taylor in “This Is For Everyone”, but this year in “Technicolour” it just doesn’t seem to be there. Some of the sections seem to have suffered by riders filming for multiple projects such as Gabe Taylor, who filmed for Grenades “The Boned Age” and Jake Olson-Elm, who has ender in Newsroom Cinema’s “Bad Ideas”.  Jake and Spencer Link’s split part looks like it was filmed basically within about a week long trip over to Asia. With several exciting names on the rider list, it’s disappointing that it appears not many of them were fully committed to the project.
