Pat Moore did something completely unique today. He brought the BoneYard back and while doing it, made a strong contribution to The WaterVille Valley Academy. The Boneyard was a park populated in the mid 90's; around the era that kids like Pat were just getting their start on the snow. These were the days that frontside three stiffies and crossbone methods were the shit, and if a rider did a backflip, they were by far killing it. Today's contenders have surpassed the nineties trick lists by light years but the spirit remains the same. People loved to snowboard then, and they still do.
It was a great thing to see riders like Pat Moore, Chas Guldemond and Ian Thorley in their element. They seemed so much at home and were stoked to share it with both their prior inspiration and the youngbloods that are inspired by them. This multi-decade snowboard gathering was organized in teams of three, on three features, where one rider from each team was the representative of each feature. Pat spent some time putting together a trick list, that was also a representation of the amount of the amount of money he would personally donate to the Waterville Academy. Among the tricks listed was the quattro grab combo and the frontside three tripple grab. It was amazing to see these tricks go down, but what was even more amazing was knowing that every time one was landed that Pat would spread the love by donating a certain amount of money to the Academy.
Mad respect to Pat for throwing such a great event and giving back to the community of snowboarding. Also mad respect to all the riders that killed it in the Boneyard all those years.
