Burton Movie Tour Update
Burton Movie Tour: SLC
Salt Lake is always a killer stop on the tour, with tons of stoked snowboard kids coming out in force to fill one of the dopest theaters to watch a video in. A marathon autograph session rolled right into the premiere, with a packed house who were obviously hungry for snow. After wrapping up the film and doing a quick product toss, everybody headed over to the Skybox arcade for some gaming fun. Between the air hockey, basketball, mini bowling and a virtual cornucopia of video games, the night disappeared into a blur of lights, sounds and spent game cards.
Burton Movie Tour: Denver
Denver always goes off, and this year was proof that it really is “Always Snowing Somewhere.” Over 1100 Colorado shreds hit up the Ogden theater to nab some autographs from the Burton crew, check out the new film and witness an epic live set from “Trouble Andrew.” Snow was in the air last night, and the vibe was all time. Big thanks to the Denver crew and crowds who braved the weather to make it to the show. You can always tell when people have been riding already, since they’re even more pumped than the rest of the cities we’ve hit so far...
Burton Movie Tour: Portland
Word on the street is that there was a dope new spot to check out in Portland, so the PDX Burton reps decided to host the premiere, afterparty and signing all at the Grand Central Lanes to see what all the hype was about. The venue did not disappoint, and the Rose City shred population came out in full force for a night of bowling, bro downs and beverages.
With Heikki, Jussi, Tadashi, Kevin, Dannny Jack and Keegan each holding down a lane, it was a serious night of bowling with a whole host of local characters. After a break in the action to check out “Its Always Snowing Somewhere,” stacks of free stuff from Sasha and the rest of the NW Burton crew were raffled off to the masses.
Back in the lanes, there was some pretty creative bowling going down, with tandem and handstand action topping the list of “you had to see it” moves. Overall one of the most memorable and fun filled nights on the tour, with plenty of sore bowling thumbs the next morning.
