France - After two weeks of epic weather and amazing slush conditions, The Burton Summer Camp came to an end last Saturday.
The Team composed of Yann Alarcon, Kike Carcelen, Gary Greenshields, Tom Guilmard, Piotrek Janosz, Wojtek Pawlusiak, Neils Schack and Maxence Tevelle arrived on Saturday July 11th under the guidance of Burton Europe’s team staff photographer Cyril Mueller.
Their task was to assist the Demonium coaches Anaïs Cettou, Charles Gagnon, Charles Balzan, and Ilia Moussine Pouchkine teach the latest trick trends to campers in the morning, shoot as many pictures with Cyril and gather footage with the Method crew who came to report from the camp.
The hardest task was to wake up Neils each morning, but once this was done, things went crazy on the glacier. The shapers accomplished the most remarkable setup in the history of Les Deux Alpes with a true super pipe, sick kicker lines, a huge hip and a jib garden unique to Europe. The features had been shaped for riders of all levels but the pros were still able to showcase all their talent as you can see on the photos.
On top of that, campers had the opportunity to test the 2010 Burton boards and bindings, tuned every day by the Demonium crew to give them the same weapons and go challenge the pros.
Every afternoon, campers and Burton team riders were eager to participate in one of the many Les Deux Alpes afternoon activities such as skate, climbing, golf, summer sledge, beach soccer, downhill mountain bike, and swimming.
The night life usually kicked off at LES BLEUETS with Ginger Rum and French Hip-hop, followed by crazy shakin' sessions at the legendary club L’AVALANCHE where Demonium organiser of the Burton camp “Dre” managed to invite special DJ guests Frederik Kalbermatten and Joni Malmi for two epic nights.
