By George Crosland
Pretty self explanatory. All the extra photos from the 2009 Holy Oly revial held at Summit Snoqualmie, Washington.

The Holy Oly was so fun that we had to throw up another gallery for
those of you that want more of the quintessential celebration of NW
snowboarding…and bananas

Side view of the massive 28 foot tall quarterpipe with Nick Russell
doing a method air which happens to be the quintessential trick of the
NW. To be honest, you could shoot photos of method airs all day; they
just look so damn cool

Jason Robinson won the “73 tricks and counting award” and here is Jason
on what may very well have been trick #1. Back 180 off the That’s It,
That’s All car. If it was not his first trick, it was surely in the
first 5 tricks

One of the true NW legends and still charging – Peter Line

Tim Eddy takes us back to an era where simply grabbing different was
like the sickest trick ever. Tim floats over one of the un-official
obstacles, which in this case was the heavily sessioned hip/skull death
metal jibs

Nick Russell floating over the hip

Al doing perhaps can be best described as a hurricane on a snowboard, on a propane tank

Ryan Stephens “spelled with a ph, not a v” gets inverted on a back 7 nose grind over the un-official hip

Big Mike from Portland throws tradition out the window by styling a
Japan Air instead of a Method while styling Portland based Atmosphere
outerwear

Matt Guess won the best trick award by spinning a backside alley oop 7 but here is a method air

Monty Hayes proved to be the Holiest of the Oly for 2009

Snowskates are not just for kids; some guys were doing airs out and trying kickflips – on a 28 foot tall pipe

Scott proves the grabbing in front of the foot is still radical

The elevation of the pass here is just over 3000’ foot. For those that
ride Colorado or California, the elevation may seem low but trust me,
the terrain can be steep enough to make any man nervous. Just out of
view of this photo is a resort called Alpental which on a powder day is
simply bad ass

Jason Robinson on trick #60 of 73 – 540 on the pipe

Taylor pays tribute to Kevin Staab – Pop Tart

While there was a lift next to the pipe, many opted to hike up the run in

Ryan Stephens – Method

The ever stylish Peter Line takes the method to another place – to fakie

Spacecraft snow bunny?

Ivan on the Red Bull can obstacle which was “built improperly but still
worked well” How does Red Bull manage to sponsor…everything?

Jay Rob shot off the That’s It, That’s All car

Ok, snowskating this thing is down right gnarly

High air winner Austin Hironaka lands a mikalchuk

Another un-official obstacle, jibbing the announcing tower via a front 360

Austin proving he can do more than just big airs

Matt Edgers off yet another unofficial obstacle – hipping the side of the qp

Some of the finest beers in the world being naturally chilled for the party

Jason Robinson on his 73 and final of 73 tricks, just before the afterparty started

The Holiest got to take the small trophy home and had his name added,
Stanley Cup style, to the bigger trophy. Until next year, cheers
