Mammoth Lakes, CA - Storied Places Inc., the Private Residence Club division of Intrawest Corporation, has announced it will hold a Sales Selection Event for Altis, Storied Places Mammoth, the company's newest Private Residence Club and community at Mammoth Mountain ski and snowboard resort in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, on May 13.
Located in Mammoth, northeast of Los Angeles and south of Reno, Nev., Altis is a high-end community of fractional residences and the first undertaking of the recently announced joint venture partnership between an entity controlled by Starwood Capital Group Global, LLC and Intrawest Corporation. Ownership interest is based on 1/7th share in a multimillion dollar home, priced from the mid-$500,000s. Exclusive fractional residences such as this have been one of the fastest growing segments of the vacation real estate market.
"Altis will represent a flagship real estate development for Mammoth, combining an exquisite and unique style of architecture with a level of service that Mammoth has never seen," said Steve Laver, President of Storied Places Inc.
The development will be the vision of award-winning architect Tom Kundig, a finalist for Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt, 2005 National Design Award for architecture. Kundig will bridge buildings with nature by incorporating the scenic surroundings and sweeping views of the Sherwin Mountain Range into the architectural design.
This "modernist mountain rustic" style will be prevalent throughout each of the 22 planned 2,700+ square-foot residences. Each home will have three bedrooms, a media room, a private patio and hot tub, spacious living, kitchen and dining area, and a powder room in addition to an oversized bathroom, laundry room, and mudroom/ski area. Residences will have ski-in, ski-out access to Mammoth Mountain's 3,500 acres of terrain.
The intimate Altis community also will include a 5,700+ square-foot Owners' Lodge, complete with year-round pool, bar/lounge, fitness center and spa facilities. "Storied Service" will manage all the details pertaining to vacation time via an onsite Resident Innkeeper who is thoroughly familiar not only with the region, but also with each owner's specific tastes.
Altis in Mammoth will join the few select Storied Places properties located in Whistler (British Colombia), Lake Tahoe (California), Aspen (Colorado), Tremblant (Quebec), and Sandestin (Florida).
A Sales Selection event for Altis is scheduled for May 13th at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa.
