New Tubing Park Opening at Boreal Mountain Resort
Boreal Focuses on Fun for Families
Donner Summit, Calif., - Boreal Mountain Resort is expanding what started out a decade ago as a small sledding hill, into a full tubing arena complete with a kids carousel for little guests under 42” tall, and a new moving carpet surface lift for all those looking for six lanes of pure tubing fun.
“The idea of transporting our snow play guests up the hill on a moving carpet offers such a better experience,” said Director of Mountain Operations Shaydar Edelmann. “We know how difficult it is to hike up a snowy hillside with kids, so we thought we would make the day that much more fun by adding a moving carpet,” he added.
Lift tickets will be 20 dollars for the tubing park, fifteen dollars for the tube carousel. Boreal’s Playland tube park is expected to open for the Christmas holiday, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (conditions permitting).
Other great things to look for at Boreal this winter; improved lighting for Boreal’s famous night skiing/riding, a remodeled retail store, a new youth lounge and two new school bus features in the terrain parks.
Boreal offers the closest, most convenient access off Interstate 80 atop Donner Summit, just 90 minutes from Sacramento, 35 minutes from Reno and just 6 minutes from Truckee. Boreal Mountain Resort offsets 100 percent of its electricity by purchasing green power.
