SASS Goes Wild For Round 3
Round 3 of South America Snow Sessions was ridiculous. The epic snow, sick lines, and huge jumps made campers weep for more. With the over 18 crew, Airblaster kids, and demaciado cerveca, the session was totally out of control. Pro skiers Pep Fujas and Dash Longe joined team SASS and dished out some seriously inspirational skiing. During the first two days of the session, Cerro Cathedral received more than 2 feet of snow. After SASS finished heshing the resort, Laguna Bowl was only a 20 minute hike. Out at La Laguna, SASS crushed everything and slashed tons of pow. We were so busy shredding that we forgot that Session 3 had to end. Nobody likes good-byes, but hey, there is nothing wrong with going home to rub it in to family and friends about how epic the session was.
Airblaster Invasion
Just when SASS thought that the fun-o-meter had been maxed out, the Airblaster crew showed up at camp to mix things up a little. Jonas Lea, Ben Lynch, Forrest Shearer, and Regular Guy Ricky Hower caught some serious air with campers during Session 3. Not so regular guy, Jonas Lea, whipped out the goods and hooked up SASS head to toe with Airblaster terryclavas, legbags, sunglasses, and copies of their movie December. Three dream catchers, two rat tails, and one empanada later, the crew hosted a 3 LOCO GRADE Funtest comp for SASS. Creative and super robot tech maneuvers came out of the bamboo for the Funtest, making the overcast day one of the best days on snow for Session 3. Later that night at dinner, Ben, Jonas, and Ricki wrote and performed a heart felt ballad about thier time at SASS;"Uno, dos, tres, Argentina, cinco,..." says that Airblaster killed it at South America Snow Sessions.
Pirates of Patagonia
Swashbucklers of SASS got down at Hosteria De La Luna for a night of pirate debauchery. The Imperial Beer sponsored party went off with a live band and coaches Garret Russell and Mauri Cambilla man-handling the open bar. Everyone went all out in some serious pirate gear to celebrate Session 3 and Coach Andrew Burns' birthday. Local riders and friends also joined the crew to help SASS get rid of the copious amounts of free beer that was being guzzled. Lasting well into the morning, the party was still shaking even thought the pirate tattoos were well faded. Living up to true SASS style, the whole crew was up and at em' to catch the bus to the mountain for a full day of shredding.
