Guest judges Travis Rice and Pat Bridges had the final decision on who would be titled the first ever Kings Of Quarters Champion.  Not only would the champion receive nine thousand dollars cash, they would also receive a free ride to the Arctic Challenge in Norway.

It was a 12-rider field and there were some heavy hitters.  Shayne Pospisil a New Jersey native won the event and consistently blasted the largest airs of the night.  Scotty Lago was trying double corked backside nines and will definitely be throwing them tomorrow in mens X Games halfpipe.  Chad Otterstrom always throws down; at least every time I have seen him.

The quarter pipe looked really smooth and the weather gave it the solid effect.  It was solid and Pat Moore took a pretty hard slam, but luckily we have reports from Chas Guldemond one of Pat’s best friends that he is Ok.

The Stats:
The Quarter Pipe Height : 9 Meters
The Highest Quarterpipe Air : 7.9 Meters by Shayne Pospisil

Sponsors: D&E Ski and Snowboard Shop, Sprint, W.L. Gore and Associate, Oakley, Salomon, Bud Light, Red Bull, Helly Hansen, American Express.
