The big bang Finals are set for Saturday, March 10th where both men and women ride together in a ‘best of three runs’ format and judged by none-other than legendary Jeff Brushie (USA), amongst others. Results will be of immeasurable importance being the last high-point scoring TTR event before the super SIX(6)STAR Burton US Open Championships showdown which will define the Men’s TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion.

The battle to hold the TTR World NR 1 spot on the TTR World Tour Ranking List presented by Swatch will be hot on the agenda as a win at the World Superpipe Championships for current leader, Kevin Pearce (USA) or freshly ousted Iouri Podladtchikov (RUS), now World Nr 2, will prove decisive in the last stretch towards the US Open. As his 7th score on the TTR Tour this season, with a 5th place result or above, Pearce (USA) would drop his 6th place Halfpipe points from the TTR FIVE(5) STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open and extend his lead by up to 25.5 TTR Ranking Points – a strong chance considering his average finish of 2nd at TTR FIVE(5) STAR events this season. Ony with a win, Podladtchikov (RUS) would drop his 6th place slopestyle result from TTR FIVE(5) STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open and inspiringly take back the TTR World Nr 1 position -if Pearce (USA) doesn’t make top 5.

Competition is strong for the TTR Top 5 spots with Danny Davis (USA), TTR World Nr 6, looking good to move up to 4th position on the TTR Ranking List should he finish 10th or higher. For Shaun White (USA), TTR World Nr 12, this will be his 5th result on tour this season and consequently only add to his ranking points. A win would move White (USA) to around 4th spot with still one more result to add to his points score based on average TTR 6-results posting. Mason Aguirre (USA), World Superpipe Championship reigning title-holder and TTR World Nr 14 will post his 6th Tour result and could climb to 4th position on the current ranking list with a win. Mason’s average finish at TTR FIVE(5) STAR events this season is 6th .

The Women’s TTR Top 10 could also experience a shake-up as last year’s World Superpipe Championship winner and TTR World Nr 6, Torah Bright (AUS), will only add her finishing result to her ranking points and potentially jump up to the 3rd position. Holding the current TTR World Nr 4 spot, Juliane Bray (NZE) could drop her TTR FIVE(5) STAR Nissan X-Trail Nippon Open result and also move up to 3rd position with a podium result. For Kelly Clark (USA) current TTR World Nr 12, this will be her 5th result on the tour this season and increases her possibility to enter the TTR Top 10.
