For the third year in a row, Boulder Freeride has slaved away to bring CU the Campus Rail Jam Tour, and boy was it worth it. Not only was the riding insane, but the cash purse is the largest of the entire Tour, almost as much as the Portland Finals.

Chiesa Valmalenco (Italy) host the 3 days of the International Deaf Snowboard Championship where numerous riders from all Europe, Russia and Japan challenged their skills in GS, PSL, big air and halfpipe contests.

Austria - 100 riders from six countries joined the Stubai Jam as the third stop of the Quiksilver Wir Schanzen on March 13th to ring in the Spring Sessions at the Moreboards Stubai Zoo. A mixture of sun, wind, perfect setup, relaxed atmosphere and not to forget the snowboard and ski action made a brilliant day on the Stubai Glacier.

Stratton, VT - Today spectators at Stratton Mountain saw the first day of competition of the 6Star Burton US Open 2010. Under sunny skies and in spring like conditions, 34 riders battled for 20 spots in the qualifications that then saw 10 snowboarders proceeding to semis finals that are taking place this Saturday.

Billabong‘s Flaunt It Slopestyle and Rail Jam is back again this year at Mont-Tremblant on Saturday, March 27th, 2010. This last event of the contest series is held during the Telus Spin Festival, and boasts an increased cash purse of $10,000 plus additional product and prizes up for grabs.

Last week storms didn’t destroy everything in the Pyrenees, and after one or two mountain passes, the scenery was incredible in Cataluna : Tons of fresh powder, clear blue skies in Baqueira, and almost an empty resort! But we had to continue our way to head to the small resort of Port Ainé to attend to the spanish stop of the Volcom Stone Peanut Butter and Rail Jam the next day.

The 4th annual Sessions Log Jam took place this past Sunday under sunny skies and warm temperatures at Boreal Ski Resort. Snowboarders and skiers came from the far reaches of Lake Tahoe to find a fun and challenging course that would push their limits and make them think outside the box.

Tyrol, Austria - From 10th to 13th of March the mother ship of all Ästhetiker Jams, the Wängl Tängl, took place for the 8th time in the Tyrolean town of Mayrhofen. During the ‘Gäng Jam’ snowboard contest in the modified Vans Penken Park the teams were delivering a show like Tirol has never seen before!

Quebec, Canada - Snowmission fifth edition wrapped up Saturday night with Jason Dubois and Jess Kimura’s victories. Jason Dubois from Stoneham is the proud winner of the Polaris RMK 800 snowmobile. Charles Reid from Mont-Tremblant takes second place with winnings of $6000, including $1000 for the best trick, alley hoop backside rodeo 7 nosegrab. The podium was completed by Franck Bourgeois.

Valmalenco, Italy - The two Parallel World Cup leaders Nicolien Sauerbreij (NED) and Benjamin Karl (AUT) have underlined their impressive form of this season by winning the seventh parallel giant slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup.
