    Austria - After a terrific kick-off day loaded with action on the Dachstein glacier, the audience witnessed a fulminate spectacle on a dreamlike and sunny day. In the end, however, only one could win the contest: Splendid winner of the men’s judging was Elias Elhardt (GER) and Enni Rukajaervi (FIN) could come out on top of the ladies.

  • 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup: Barcelona Big Air Results

    Barcelona, Spain - Just days after his win at the season's first big air in London last week, Stefan Gimpl also celebrated victory in Barcelona at the second city event of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. The Austrian veteran relegated Switzerland's Gian-Luca Cavigelli to the second rank. 20'000 spectators at Estadio Olimpico saw Gjermund Braaten from Norway round out the podium as third.

  • 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup: Saas-Fee Halfpipe Results

    Kevin Pearce 12th in Saas-Fee World Cup - Saas-Fee, Switzerland - Halfpipers dropped into their first World Cup competition of the season Thursday and none other than Australian Torah Bright and Kazuhiro Kokubo of Japan took the wins in Switzerland. The U.S. was represented in the finals by X Games silver medalist Kevin Pearce (Norwich, VT) who finished 12th.

  • 2009 Backyard Bang Rail Jam Results

    Portland, OR – For the third year in a row the crew at Salomon Snowboards tempted fate by throwing a rail jam in the middle of downtown Portland during the Rose City’s typically rainy autumn. It didn’t stop Jonah Owen from throwing down hammers in front of the Art Institute of Portland—he pressed and spun his way into first place with Johnnie Paxson in a close second and Austin Sweetin rounding out third.

    Italy - In the best conditions that Modena has ever seen, the new Finnish superstar on the rise Matti Kinnunen took home the title of the 4Star Nissan Stomp It in front of screaming Italian fans and European top riders. With a Double Backside Rodeo 900 he impressed the judges and landed in front of Stephan Maurer (SUI) in second and Tobias Karlsson (SWE) in third place.

  • British Snowboard Invitational Championship Results

    United Kingdom - Huge and super stylish 720’s was the trick of choice being laid down at the British Freeski and Snowboard Invitational Championships at the Metro Ski & Snowboard Show on Friday. Ten of the UK’s top Snowboarders and 13 Freeskiers were invited to compete and showcase their tricks in front of a crowd of thousands with the hopes of winning the Championship title.
