Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, B.C. – Snow is falling at the Peak of Vancouver! New snowfall and sub-zero temperatures provide skiers and boarders renewed assurance of favourable conditions for alpine snow sports in the city. Warmer temperatures have lapsed and Mother Nature has brought in new flurries with 6 centimetres of snowfall this week and more on the way as colder temperatures settle in.

Whistler, BC – The latest storm to hit Whistler Blackcomb has dumped a whopping 70 centimetres or 28 inches in 24 hours, immersing the resort in deep winter conditions. Although the heavy snow and high winds prevented a number of lifts from opening today, the forecast for clearer skies this afternoon and tomorrow bodes well for weekend skiers and riders.

Whistler, BC – Blackcomb Mountain will open on Thursday, November 26 giving riders the chance to ride both mountains’ record-breaking snowy terrain. Officially designated as “opening day,” November 26 is delivering unbelievable mid-season conditions, with the mountains receiving record snowfalls this month.

Golden, BC - Kicking Horse Mountain Resort announced an early opening of December 4th- 6th, 2009. The resort has received over 160cm of snowfall over the past two weeks and storm cycles continue to drop champagne powder through the region.

Revelstoke, BC - Get ready for some awesome early season conditions as Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) prepares to open ahead of schedule for a Sneak Peak Weekend this Saturday November 28 and Sunday November 29th. The resort will open for daily operations beginning Friday December 4, 2009.

Whistler, BC – Whistler Blackcomb has officially surpassed the previous record of snow in the month of November with 418cm (165 inches) of snow falling as of Thursday, November 19. The previous record, set in 2006, was 416cm (164 inches). The snowfall record dates back to 1979.

Whistler, BC – The current storm system has blanketed the mountains with over 204 cm (80 inches) of fresh snow in the past week. Operations crews are hard at work preparing more lifts and terrain to open this weekend as conditions allow.
