Sacramento, CA – As the snow season comes to a close, the California Travel & Tourism Commission (CTTC) announced that 2009-2010 was an incredible year for winter recreation, with an increase of more than half a million visitors to California’s snow resort areas. CTTC credited both a long snow season and the California Department of Transportation’s proactive plan to keep the roads to major resort areas open for business.

Wrightwood, CA – Mountain High’s 2009/10 season came to a close this Sunday, making it the longest in the resort’s history. From opening day on October 29th to its late close on May 2nd, the winter lasted an incredible 186 days leaving Mountain High to be one of the last non-glacier resorts to close in United States.

Wrightwood, CA – The season that wouldn’t end. Fresh snow continues to fall in Southern California and Mountain High now plans to remain open through May 2nd making this the longest season in its history. A total of 186 days to be exact beating out the winter of 2004/05 by five days.
