Spain - Helene Olafsen (NOR) and Pierre Vaultier (FRA) have won the last snowboard cross race of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. In La Molina, Spain, the reigning World Champion successfully competed against Simona Meiler (SUI), Olympic Champion Maelle Ricker (CAN) and Alexandra Jekova (BUL) in the ladies’ final.

Valmalenco, Italy - The two Parallel World Cup leaders Nicolien Sauerbreij (NED) and Benjamin Karl (AUT) have underlined their impressive form of this season by winning the seventh parallel giant slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup.

Valmalenco, Italy - Holly Crawford (AUS) and Michal Ligocki (POL) claimed victory in a halfpipe contest held today in Valmalenco, Italy. In the second to last halfpipe competition of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, the Australian successfully competed in the ladies’ final earning 40.4 points thus celebrating her career’s second victory after Furano, Japan, 2007.

Valmalenco, Italy - Lindsey Jacobellis (USA) and Alex Pullin (AUS) have won the second to last snowboard cross race of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. In the ladies’ final, the fifth ranked rider of the 2010 Olympics edged off Vancouver Gold medallist Maelle Ricker (CAN) and her team mate Dominique Maltais to the second and third rank respectively.

Moscow, Russia - Doris Guenther (AUT) and Aaron March (ITA) have won the second parallel slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. While Guenther led a total podium sweep of Austria on the ladies’ side with fellow countrywomen Heidi Neururer and Julia Dujmovits as second and third respectively, March successfully competed in the men’s final against Olympic runner-up and current World Cup leader Benjamin Karl (AUT).

Sudelfeld, Germany - Amelie Kober (GER) and Andreas Prommegger (AUT) have won the season’s sixth Parallel Giant Slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. The German hopeful for the up-coming Olympics successfully competed against new World Cup leader Nicolien Sauerbreij (NED) in the ladies’ final thus securing her season’s second World Cup win.

Calgary, Canada - Sina Candrian (SUI) and Marc McMorris (CAN) have won the first ever slopestyle finals in the history of the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. At Canada Olympic Park, right outside of Calgary, Alberta, the Swiss rider successfully competed in the ladies’ final by earning 45.4 points. Canada’s Brooke Voigt (39.2) and Alexandra Duckworth (34.5) rounded out the podium as second and third respectively.

Calgary, Canada - Zhifeng Sun (CHN) and Arthur Longo (FRA) have won the fifth halfpipe contest of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. At Canada Olympic Park, right outside of Calgary, Alberta, the Chinese rider successfully competed in the ladies’ final under flood light by earning 43.4 points.

Quebec, CA - Janne Korpi (FIN) has triumphed in the fifth and thus last big air contest of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup season. After the Finnish rider had won on Friday’s halfpipe contest at Stoneham, the 23-years-old also jumped on the top podium spot on Saturday’s big air competition in Quebec City.

Quebec, Canada - Svetlana Boldykova (RUS) and Benjamin Karl (AUT) have claimed victory in yesterday’s fifth parallel giant slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. While the Russian rider was able to edge off her team mate Alena Zavarzina to the second rank thus celebrating her second World Cup win, Benjamin Karl clinched his third consecutive victory on the 610 metres long course in Stoneham, Quebec, Canada.

Canada - Snowboard Cross World Cup leaders Maelle Ricker (CAN) and Pierre Vaultier (FRA) have impressively underlined in Stoneham why both are sitting on the top spot of the ranking. While Ricker (3,960 points) secured her season’s third win in the fifth snowboard cross of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, Vaultier (4,800) celebrated his fourth win thus clinching his career’s second World Cup title with still two competitions to come.
