Val Senales, Italy - World Rookie Tour is ready to start a new summer season of events for youngsters! The first stops of the summer tour will be the Rookie Camp 2010 in Val Senales, Italy, from 3 to 10 July. It is a Snowboard & Skateboard Camp for riders of any level, and it includes in the program also a Swatch TTR 2Star slopestyle.

The 2nd Italian stop of the PBRJ took place last Sunday in Madonna di Campiglio. The forecast predicted bad weather the whole Easter weekend but this was helpful for making selection: only the more reckless riders had been so brave to go up to face a challenge with such extreme weather conditions.

Alagna is « the freeride paradise » resort with a big gondola that brings you over 3000m high in some magnificent mountains, then you can hike more to reach some glaciers or find virgin powder fields. All along the way down you’ll find some fine refuges where the typical Italian mountain food and beverages are served in a good atmosphere.

Valmalenco, Italy - The two Parallel World Cup leaders Nicolien Sauerbreij (NED) and Benjamin Karl (AUT) have underlined their impressive form of this season by winning the seventh parallel giant slalom of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup.

Valmalenco, Italy - Holly Crawford (AUS) and Michal Ligocki (POL) claimed victory in a halfpipe contest held today in Valmalenco, Italy. In the second to last halfpipe competition of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup, the Australian successfully competed in the ladies’ final earning 40.4 points thus celebrating her career’s second victory after Furano, Japan, 2007.

Valmalenco, Italy - Lindsey Jacobellis (USA) and Alex Pullin (AUS) have won the second to last snowboard cross race of the 2010 LG Snowboard FIS World Cup. In the ladies’ final, the fifth ranked rider of the 2010 Olympics edged off Vancouver Gold medallist Maelle Ricker (CAN) and her team mate Dominique Maltais to the second and third rank respectively.

Italy - Following the Slopestyle format on Thursday, the 5Star Burn River Jump took on its second format, the Straight Jump, this evening in the centre of Livigno, Italy. In front of a spectacular city backdrop and thousands of screaming spectators, the riders faced a nail-biting knock out final. Yale Cousino (USA) bagged his third consecutive title at this event.

Italy - American Eric Willett took home the Brux Slopestyle title and 850 Swatch TTR ranking points this Thursday at the 5Star Burn River Jump inLivigno, Italy. With high level snowboarding seen from the 67 riders gathered from all over the world, it was the talented rookies Gjermund Braaten (NOR) who grabbed second place and Roope Tonteri (FIN) who took third.

Italy - Livigno reports the first great confirmations for the Burn River Jump, the snowboard contest now at its fourth edition to be held in Livigno from the 24th to the 26th of February, organized by Burton Snowboards in collaboration with Mottolino, APT Livigno and Skipassion Livigno.
