Taos in New Mexico | Taos Ski Valley was founded in 1955 by Ernie and Rhoda Blake. To this day the resort is still ran by the grandchildren of the Blakes. 2009 was the first year snowboarding was allowed in Taos. If you like steep, long runs you need to go to Taos. You have to go and experience the 3,244 foot vertical and the 1,294 acres of steep terrain and 110 trails that will keep you busy all day long.
