There might be a few other mountains in California open right now. Even many of them have top to bottom runs. You can bet your ass they don't come close to what Mammoth has going on right now. Here you can take the gondola all the way up to the top for a long steep run down cornice that will keep you on your toes heading down. There are also awesome conditions, you can really throw that snow up and get way into the whiteroom. With lots more terrain opening very soon as the snowmakers have been working all day and night, thanks to some lower temps this week. You might think that sounds pretty damn good, but it get's way better. The Unboud Main park has officially opened up with lots of the new features made fresh by Oren Tanzer and the park staff. Making that 2 parks now with a different setup in Forest Trail. So here is a full day cruising around the newly tuned up Mammoth with locals Gabe Taylor, James Shoshone, Tyler Flannigan, and Kevin Westinbarger.
