In January I'd usually be on non stop mission looking for some new pow. However like a lot of other places around the country right now, the snow in Utah has not been falling the past couple weeks. The best part about Salt Lake is that you can just got to Park City and get some good park days in and catch some airtime. All three parks are up and already much better than they were last season. The pick and shovel park has has got some small jibs and a really fun jump line along side the enormous pipe that has been getting cut to perfection every night. The Jonesy's park is now fully open with tons of features to make your legs rubber at the end of your day. Then when your nice and warmed up you can head over to the Kings Crown park to get down on the big jumps. That unlike last season have nice long smooth takeoffs to put you up there. Then at the bottom you head into the 60 foot jump to slow down and hit the rail feature with some stairs.
Then If you don't feel like driving up route 80 you can still have an awesome time just cruising with some friends at the famous rail gardens. Matty Mo, Austin Granger, Ben Bogart and I jumped in the car for a five minute car ride to ride the double line for a few hours right after the Bozwreck dudes had a session.
Of course we have also had our fair share of raging too. Laura Hadar was nice enough to open her shop FICE up and have a party in downtown stocked up with plenty of Sailor Jerry rum to get everyone at the party nice and fucked up. Then there's a couple more photos from a night at Pat Fenelon's house where people were getting some fresh stick and poke tats and rest of the night, I just don't rememer for some reason.

- Parking lot view of the Pick And Shovel park and the Eagle Superpipe

- Dan Brisse is one gnarly guy on a snowboard. Stomping a quick cab seven.

- I don't think halfpipes get bigger than this thing.

- Elena Hight hiking the pipe with some more of the US team.

- View at the top of the King Crown jump lines perfect jumps

- Wyatt Caldwell pokes out a front 3 on the first kicker.

- Caleb Flowers takes a different approach and plants an ally-oop andrecht on the tranny that is also cut on the sides of the jumps. It would be sick if all resorts did that.

- John Steward tests out the 60 foot bottom jumps with a backside seven melon.

- Jon Jon again back 50-50.

- Torah Bright and Jake Welch taking a break from some hectic schedules to just take some laps.

- Jonesy's park. As you read the there is now more open above.

- John Steward backside nosepress

- Same trick, different spot, really really pressed. Ben Bogart comitted at the Rail Gardens.

- Matty Mo comes back to the rail gardens after breaking a rib the last time here and puts down a front board on the double line.

-The spliff pass, maybe the best trick done all day.

- Chris Eacott from Australia grabbing that Bozwreck board stale on the second rail.

- Austin Granger. I think this was a front lip 270.

- Matty Mo's face looks like he's pushing out a turd really hard, but he's just getting into a frontside 180 nosepress.

-It sucks when people bogart your chicks. It's sick though when Ben Bogart puts down some back lips.

- Mac Spedale feeling the free Sailor Jerry. That shit's good to the last drop.

-Grete, Louie, Elliot, and Mac downtown at FICE

- Evan Lefebvre hurting from getting that rusty needle in there for his new Skeleton Crew tattoo.

- That's it Evan. Pound that SoCo to forget about that shit.
